NEWS-Lady Gaga Installs Huge Fish Tank for Visual Stimulation

Lady Gaga was hurt a while ago while on tour.  She hurt her hip and was in serious enough pain to halt her current tour.  She underwent hip surgery recently.  In a number of recent entertainment reports she has purchased a huge fish tank for visual stimulation. The Entertainmentwise.com story Lady Gaga ‘Installs £40,000 Fish Tank In Home For Company After Hip Surgery’ states:

While she may be holed up at home, Gaga, 26, has found some friends to keep her company, reportedly splashing out thousands of dollars on 27 koi carp.

“Gaga said she’d had a dream about the fish so she had her team source some koi and set up a massive tank,” a source told The Sun.

“The whole exercise cost over £40,000, which is a lot to most people but small change to her.”

She, like many other celebrities, is finding that the health benefits of having an aquarium are quite useful. In her case it seems she is using the huge fish tank for visual stimulation, but I am willing to bet that she is also taking advantage of the soothing effects of watching her 27 koi swimming in their underwater habitat.

It is too bad that there are no further details on the actual aquarium that she had installed.  A huge fish tank for visual stimulation may take the form of two distinct configurations.  Most tropical fish are best seen from the sides as they swim in a standard style fish tank.  Here they are viewed from the side to show off the colours of their body.

Koi, on the other hand, have been bred domestically for thousands of years in Japan and Asia, but with a focus on viewing them in water gardens and pools. Because of this, they have been systematically cultivated for the colours they display on their backs.  In their case their beauty can be viewed to the greatest advantage from the top.

Huge Tank for Visual Stimulation comes at a Steep Price

Lady Gaga is one of the lucky ones that can take advantage of the well known health benefits of an aquarium, and be extravagant in the process.  A huge tank for visual stimulation is something that many critical care and other hospital units would love to have in their patient facilities. They know that the soothing environment when watching a fish tank helps patients with all sorts of health problems.  They recover sooner and experience less stress while under treatment.

Lady Gaga has spent over £40,000 (60,000 US dollars) for such a huge tank for visual stimulation.  I am willing to bet that besides the beautiful addition of a custom aquarium to her home as a central showpiece feature, she will reap many stress relieving moments as well.  A huge tank for visual stimulation may be the way she expressed it, but the more striking results wil be the lessening of stress while she watches it as well.
